I understand that finding a therapist can seem like an overwhelming and daunting task. You should feel a comfortable connection with your therapist, which will allow the space for effective communication, exploration, and change. I value this connection and so I want to give you the opportunity to speak with me before you commit to scheduling your first session. We will start with a free 15-minute telephone consultation so I can determine how best to serve you as a therapist.
Once we determine that I am a good fit for you, we will schedule the first session focused on information gathering. As we get to know each other, I will ask you questions about your background, relationships, and current life situation. I encourage your questions and feedback at all times. This initial 60-minute session allows me to get a better understanding of your goals and how we can best work together to achieve those goals.
How Often Should I Attend?
Most people commit to attend 50-minute therapy sessions once a week in order to get the most out of the process. Weekly therapy allows us to work through your struggles, and toward positive change and growth at a consistent pace. That being said, the time that you spend in therapy will vary greatly depending on your needs and your goals. We will discuss a schedule that works best for you.
